The hosting of swim meets is one of the requirements of PTSC families. Since all families share in the benefit of the revenue generated from these meets, all of our families are required to help with the workload involved in running the meets. Revenue from meets helps to offset the expenses of the club while keeping the dues at a reasonable rate.
All swimmers are expected to attend all home meets. Your account will be billed even if your swimmer does not/is not able to attend.

Volunteer Shifts Requirement
To ensure we have the best possible meet for our guests, we expect all families to volunteer for each of the hosted meets above. For invitationals, each family will need to volunteer for the number of sessions for the meet listed above; all sessions can be met on the same day. Volunteering at away meets, high school or middle school meets, do not count toward the PTSC volunteer commitment.
All Volunteers must be at least 12 years of age. You can have family and/or friends help you to meet the volunteer commitment. Swimmers can also volunteer to help meet the requirement. However, swimmers are not allowed to volunteer during a session in which they are eligible to swim.
These positions are filled on a first come, first served basis. Since meets are our only form of fundraising, these requirements apply to all families whether or not your swimmer swims in the meets.
Every meet worker must check in with the Volunteer Check-in upon arrival to insure credit for your session.
Meet Volunteer Signups
Volunteer Signup is done on the PTSC website and can be found on the home page. Click on the “Upcoming Events” button then “Job Signup” for the meet that you are signing up to volunteer. All signups MUST be done on the website in order to receive credit for the shift.
Before signing up, please make a note of the tentative times for each session. Please be aware that some positions require the meet worker to report before warm-ups.
It is your responsibility to verify that you have signed up for the correct number of sessions and at the correct times. Once the online signup has closed you will not be able to remove your name from any extra sessions or take your name off of sessions you signed up for in error. Please verify sessions prior to the online signup deadline.
There is no childcare available. Non-swimming children are not allowed on deck during the meet per USA Swimming rules.
Missed Volunteer Sessions Assessment
As per club policy those families who are unable to fulfill their commitment will be assessed a fine of $50 per shift not worked. Fines for no-shows (signed up for a shift but did not show, including hired help not showing) are $50 per shift and still the responsibility of the club family. No cancellation of sessions will be allowed within one week prior to the start of the meet. Cancellations at this point will be considered a “No Show” and will result in the $50 per shift fine. Changes to a different shift or position will be allowed if space permits and with the Meet Directors approval.
Volunteer fines will be added to your account in the month following any requirements if the mandatory sessions are missed.
